College Board Reorganizes

The North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees recognized retiring Trustee John Holcomb during its regular April meeting, honoring his longtime service to the college and board.

Holcomb had served on the NCMC Board of Trustees since 2005.

The board also administered oaths of office to returning Trustee NiCole Neal and newly elected Trustee Travis Elbert. Both will serve six-year terms from 2026 to 2032.

Trustees also reorganized board officers. Diane Lowrey was elected president, Don Dalrymple was elected vice president, Tyson Otto was elected treasurer and Kristi Harris was elected secretary. The officers will serve two-year terms.

Communication reports were presented by Foundation Director Alicia Endicott, Head Start Director Jenny Lewis, Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Kristen Alley, Chief Information Officer Dalton Berry and President Dr. Lenny Klaver.

In business matters, trustees approved the renewal of Microsoft licensing and approved the annual joint meeting with the NCMC Foundation. The meeting is scheduled for May 21 in the Student Center, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Several personnel items also were approved.

For Green Hills Head Start, trustees approved the end of employment for Kelli Adams, teacher aide, and approved the employment of Kylie Hendee as cook at the Unionville Head Start location.

For NCMC personnel, trustees approved the resignations of Joe McKinstry, head women’s basketball coach/academic advisor for athletics and compliance, and Aulden Knight, head women’s flag football coach and strength and conditioning coordinator.

Trustees also approved the transfer of Arielle Houston from assistant to head women’s basketball coach/academic advisor for athletics and compliance, and the transfer of Blaine Dunkin from custodian to maintenance.

Additional approvals included the hiring of Grace Fields as an adjunct instructor and Krysta Meyers as a clinical instructor. Trustees also approved the creation of a new accounts payable specialist position.

The North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees will meet again with the NCMC Foundation at 5:30 p.m. May 21 in the Student Center. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. May 26 in the Frey Administrative Center.
