The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra will begin its summer rehearsal season on Tuesday, April 28, with weekly practices scheduled over the next eight weeks at Trenton High School.

Choir rehearsals will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the THS Choir Room. Orchestra rehearsals will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the THS Band Room, although orchestra members are asked to meet at 6 p.m. on April 28.

The choir is seeking singers for all voice parts. Those wanting more information or who are planning to participate should contact Choral Conductor Tyler Busick at tbusick@trentonr9.k12.mo.us or 660-988-1218.

The orchestra is an auditioned instrumental ensemble and currently is seeking musicians who are proficient on violin, viola and cello. Interested musicians are encouraged to contact Orchestral Conductor Raymond Linville at jayhawklinville@gmail.com or 316-304-1872 to discuss an audition.

The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra’s summer concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 20 in the Trenton R-IX Performing Arts Center.

A variety of music will be performed during the concert as part of a celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
