Bulldogs Beat South Harrison In Homecoming Win

Trenton’s Jacob White caught five passes for 91 yards and recorded two interceptions in the Bulldogs’ 15-0 homecoming win over South Harrison.

Trenton gave its homecoming crowd a victory to celebrate Friday, Sept. 25, shutting out South Harrison 15-0 to earn its first win of the season.
The Bulldogs improved to 1-4 behind a defense that collected three interceptions and three sacks, while Brady Miller and Camden Skipper each scored a rushing touchdown.
Jacob White made an impact on both sides of the ball, catching five passes for 91 yards and intercepting two South Harrison passes. Sam Ledbetter added an interception as Trenton kept the visiting Bulldogs off the scoreboard.
White accounted for all of Trenton’s receiving yardage, with catches of 28, 1, 46, 11 and 5 yards. His 46-yard reception was the Bulldogs’ longest gain through the air.
Skipper completed five passes for 91 yards and added 14 yards rushing. He scored on a 2-yard run while Miller supplied a 3-yard touchdown run.
Miller led Trenton’s ground game with 67 yards on 21 carries. The Bulldogs finished with 172 yards of total offense, combining 81 yards rushing with 91 yards passing.
Trenton’s defensive effort included two sacks by Jace McCall and another by Henry Lasley. McCall, Lasley and Ledbetter each recorded two tackles for loss, while White added one.
The shutout gave Trenton a strong finish to its homecoming festivities and a victory to build on heading into the second half of the regular season.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to travel to Milan on Friday, Oct. 2, for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
