Last Friday, Trenton’s Behavioral Health Crisis Center had its ribbon cutting, celebrating all the work that is required to set up a new center. Madi Cutsinger, the Crisis Director at the center, said, “It’s huge for us here as an agency because we have been working on this for a year, going on a year and a half, and we’ve seen this start from the ground up.”

Cutsinger said that the biggest challenge with opening the center was dealing with supply issues, and having to meet certain requirements for the center that are set by the state. It was hard to balance those requirements while making sure everything would still be operational.

When asked about her goals for the center, Cutsinger said, “I would love to see this center become a very useful resource for the area, because with being in a rural town, mental health assistance can be tough to access. So I’m hoping this can just open those doors through our services.”
