Arielle Houston named North Central Missouri College’s Head Women’s Basketball Coach
North Central Missouri College has promoted Arielle Houston to head women’s basketball coach, ushering in a new chapter for the Lady Pirates program.
Houston steps into the role after serving as assistant coach under Joe McKinstry during the 2025-26 season and as an assistant coach in 2024-25 under Jenni Croy.
Last season, the Lady Pirates posted a 24-8 record and spent much of the season nationally ranked, continuing the program’s strong tradition of success.
“I am very excited to have Arielle as our new head coach for women’s basketball,” Athletic Director Nate Gamet said. “She has grown so much the past two years as an assistant, and I think she will do a great job taking over the role as head coach. She has played and coached at a high level, and she has a great passion for the game. I am looking forward to a new era of Lady Pirate basketball and believe Arielle will only continue to improve on the successful culture of the program.”
Houston brings continuity, energy and a deep understanding of the program’s culture to her new position. Her experience as both a player and coach at a high level has prepared her to lead the Lady Pirates as they aim to build on recent achievements.
“I am beyond blessed for this opportunity,” Houston said. “I’m excited to continue the success this program has seen and been a part of while helping develop, lead and empower our players to reach their full potential.”
