NCMC Student Senate to Host Blood Drive March 30

North Central Missouri College Student Senate, in partnership with the Community Blood Center, will host a blood drive on the NCMC main campus in Trenton on Monday, March 30. The blood drive will be held in the Nuttall Student Center Room from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to students, employees and the public.

The Community Blood Center is the primary provider of blood and blood components to more than 70 hospitals and medical centers in the region. Individuals may help by attending the drive or making an appointment at savealifenow.org.

“A strong, consistent blood supply is the backbone of patient care in our community,” said Chelsea Tibbetts, executive director of the Community Blood Center. “We are deeply grateful to our blood drive hosts for stepping up to help save lives and support patients in our local hospitals.”

Nearly 600 donations are needed each day to meet hospital demand in the region. Because blood has a short shelf life, donations must be continually replenished to ensure it is available when and where it is needed. Organizers said one hour of a donor’s time can help save up to three lives.

Walk-ins are welcome. Donors also may make an appointment for the drive by visiting savealifenow.org/group or by calling 1-877-468-6844.
