Winsome and Friends will take the stage at the Trenton High School Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Tuesday, March 17 at 7 p.m. as the final scheduled musical event in the 2025-2026 Arts Alive inaugural season.
Winsome & Friends is a local band featuring Jane Cotton, Levi Oneal, and Sonja Wimer. They will also be joined by a few special friends, including Joe MacDonald, Robert Wimer and Amy Guthrie.
Their band name reflects their goal in making music. “Winsome” is not to be confused with “You win some, you lose some.” Rather, winsome comes from the Old English wynn, meaning “joy” or “pleasure.” Their music is cheerful and lighthearted, generally pleasing and engaging. They invite audiences to join in the singing and even dance if they would like.
The other half of their band name, “& Friends,” stems from a desire to play music with others. They often invite guests to play along because it is joyful to make music together.
This St. Patrick’s Day performance will feature Irish tunes, as well as familiar songs audiences know and love. Organizers hope attendees will sing along during the performance.
For those with a season membership, admission is free. For those without a season membership, tickets are $15 at the door for adults and $5 for children. North Central Missouri College students and Trenton R-9 Fine Arts students will be admitted free.
