Members of the Trenton Rotary Club, along with their guests, toured the new Dr. Neil and Susanne Nuttall Student Center on the campus of North Central Missouri College during the club’s “Fifth Thursday” meeting on Thursday, Jan. 29.
Daniel Gott presided at the meeting. Dan Wilford gave the prayer, and Chris Hoffman served as sergeant at arms.
Program chairman Kristi Harris introduced Alicia Endicott, who spoke about the new student center, which opened in November 2025. The student center includes the BTC Bank meeting room, which can be divided into two smaller rooms, the Bert and Rose Hoover Campus Store, Great Western Dining cafeteria, Farmers State Bank reception area, the Tye Family Student Senate Room, a student gaming and television area, the Atlantic Coca-Cola Micromarket and the Pirate Pantry.
The cafeteria is open to students, staff and the public, with breakfast, lunch and supper served Monday through Friday and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. It was noted that the student center was funded entirely through donations from alumni and community members.
During the business meeting, it was announced that membership dues statements have been mailed, with dues payable to Treasurer Cole Soptic.
Terri Critten and Lynn Griffin, co-directors of Bright Futures Trenton, thanked the Rotary Club for its assistance with the Bright Futures program, including a recent $500 cash donation. The club has also received Rotary district grants to construct a restroom facility in the new Bright Futures building and to add a laundry and shower area at Rissler Elementary School. Special recognition was given to Jim Goedert and David Critten, who constructed the restroom facility at the Bright Futures building.
The next meeting of the club will be held at noon Thursday, Feb. 5, at the BTC Bank community room. Michael Ormsby and Elizabeth Gibson will serve as program chairmen, and Brian Upton will be the sergeant at arms.
