College Sets Enrollment Record for 3rd Consecutive Year

North Central Missouri College set an enrollment record for the third consecutive year, with 2,061 students enrolled in 19,806 credit hours for the fall 2026 semester.

The totals represent a 4% increase in student headcount and a 2% increase in credit hours compared with fall 2025. Enrollment surpassed the previous headcount record by 74 students and the previous credit hour record by 463 hours.

“Three consecutive years of enrollment growth clearly show the strength of our college community and the confidence students and families place in NCMC. This success reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff and students, and we are proud to continue building an institution where students can thrive, succeed, and prepare for their futures,” NCMC President Jamie Hooyman said.

Enrollment increased 9% at the Savannah campus, 17% in dual enrollment and early college programs, and 11% in dual credit programs. The college also reported a 22% increase in enrollment from its service area and an 11% increase in returning students.

“The Trenton campus and online programs continue to have success, with momentous growth occurring at our Savannah campus and in our dual credit and dual enrollment programs in particular. The outreach and effort put forth to provide a quality education in these areas have allowed us to continue to have a positive impact throughout north Missouri,” Kristen Alley, vice president of student affairs, said.
