The Trenton High School volleyball team fell to Plattsburg in three sets, dropping the match 20-25, 6-25, 17-25.

The opening set was the closest of the match, with the Lady Bulldogs finishing five points short. Plattsburg followed with a strong second set, holding Trenton to six points and taking a 2-0 lead.

Trenton improved its scoring in the third set but could not extend the match, as Plattsburg secured the sweep with a 25-17 victory.

Alexis Bonnett recorded 16 digs and one ace for the Lady Bulldogs. Lillee Dalrymple contributed four kills and two blocks, while Sarai Birkhead finished with 10 assists.

Trenton will face Carrollton on Thursday, Sept. 10, before competing in the Lexington Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 12.
