This weekend , the Art’s Alive program produced Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. It was originally produced by Peter Saunders at the Ambassador’s Theatre in London in 1952 and has been the longest running show in the world with over 29,000 performances. The Mousetrap is a murder-mystery set in the recently opened Monkswell Manor Guesthouse during a blizzard.
Art’s Alive held three performances over two days, October 24th-25th at the Hoover Theater in the Jewett Norris Library. Elizabeth Hackathorn directed the play, and it featured the first performances of three upcoming actors in the Art’s Alive program. Both 7:00 performances were sold out, and the 2:00 performance on Saturday was also well attended.
