Trenton R-IX Board Approves Staff Changes for 2026-27 School Year

The Trenton Board of Education approved a substitute and took action on staffing for the 2026-27 school year during its March meeting.

Kelli Adams was approved as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional.

The board also accepted several resignations effective at the end of the 2025-26 school year. Those resigning are Jessica Gannon, S.M. Rissler kindergarten teacher; Jamie Dahl-Smith, S.M. Rissler second-grade teacher; Sarah Pauley, THS/TMS NHS and NJHS sponsor; Brandon Huffman, THS business teacher and FBLA sponsor; Alexis Proffitt, TMS fifth-grade math teacher; and Jerika Dewitt, S.M. Rissler fourth-grade teacher.

New hires for the 2026-27 school year include Connor Campbell, S.M. Rissler special education teacher; Angela Lovell, THS special education teacher; Shanin Parks, THS math teacher; Brooklyn Stevens, THS business teacher; Greg Dalyrmple, THS varsity assistant football coach; Chris Parks, THS varsity cross country coach; and Scott Stevens, THS summer weights.

The board also approved the rehiring of all probationary and tenured teachers for the 2026-27 school year. In addition, all returning coaches and sponsors with extra-duty contracts were renewed for the upcoming school year.

Administrator salaries for the 2026-27 school year were also approved. Salaries, which are based on the certified base salary schedule, are $124,711 for Superintendent Daniel Gott; $103,057 for THS Principal John Cowling; $93,032 for TMS Principal Mike Hostetter; $95,839 for Rissler Principal Dan Dunkin; $73,383 for Director of Special Services Brenda Thorne; $71,378 for Rissler Assistant Principal Chad Boyles; $69,774 for TMS Assistant Principal Kameron Cool; and $73,784 for THS Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Chris Wever.
