Students Receive NCMC Foundation Dual Credit Scholarships
Submitted
North Central Missouri College Foundation has awarded dual credit scholarships to 35 students from counties within NCMC’s service area. Recipients of the Jack N. Young, Mildred M. Young, Noble J. Young, and Myra A. Young Dual Credit Scholarship each received a one-time $324 scholarship to use toward their tuition.
The NCMC Foundation Scholarship Committee reviewed more than 120 applications for this competitive annual scholarship program. Applications are accepted until the first Friday in February, with awards announced later that month. Scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to write thank-you letters expressing their appreciation to the donors who make these awards possible.
“Scholarships are one of the most impactful ways to help students afford post-secondary education,” said Kristi Varner, NCMC Scholarship Coordinator. “The Jack N. Young, Mildred M. Young, Noble J. Young, and Myra A. Young Dual Credit Scholarships make it possible to support dozens of students each year. These awards would not be possible without the Young family’s investment in NCMC through planned giving. Our students are truly fortunate to benefit from such generosity.”
Through NCMC’s Dual Credit program, high school students can make significant progress toward a college degree while completing their high school education.
