Wright Memorial Hospital Offers Free Sports Physicals for Area Students
Submitted
Wright Memorial Hospital will once again provide free sports physical exams for area students planning to participate in athletic or cheerleading activities during the 2026-2027 school year.
The exams will be conducted onsite at participating schools on the following dates: Feb. 18 at Trenton High School and Trenton Middle School; Feb. 26 at Pleasant View R-VI; March 17 at Laredo, Galt and Humphreys middle/high schools; March 31 at Mercer middle/high schools; and April 7 at Princeton middle/high schools.
Providers and nurses from Wright Memorial Physicians’ Group and Saint Luke’s Mercer County Clinic will visit each school on the designated dates to perform the physicals throughout the day.
Students seeking a free sports physical must obtain the MSHSAA form, available at their school, the Grundy County Health Department or online at www.grundycountyhealth.org
. The entire form must be completed prior to the exam, including a parent or guardian signature, in order for the student to receive the physical. Instructions attached to the MSHSAA form should be followed closely to ensure the exam can be completed.
Forms must be fully completed and signed by a parent or guardian before the day of the physical.
If a student does not pass the sports physical exam, an appointment will need to be scheduled with the student’s primary care physician to address any concerns through a more detailed examination.
