NCMC picked up a hard-fought 79–75 win over Fort Scott Community College on Saturday to go undefeated in the NCMC Classic, powered by a dominant performance from sophomore guard Camden Bennett, who poured in a game-high 33 points.

Bennett was efficient and relentless, shooting 10-of-15 from the field and 11-of-12 at the free-throw line, giving the Pirates a steady offensive anchor all night.

NCMC saw strong contributions across the lineup. James Porter III delivered a workmanlike performance, finishing with 9 points and 10 rebounds, while Deng Gak added 9 points and 6 boards, providing key interior presence on both ends.

Grant Redd chipped in 6 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals, helping the Pirates maintain control of the tempo, and Camden Brown added 7 points while knocking down one of NCMC’s four made threes.

The bench provided valuable support as well. Talan Holt provided a nice spark, scoring 9 points and grabbing 5 rebounds, and Kalen Streit added 4 points along with steady defense.

With the win, the Pirates keep their momentum heading into the final stretch of the first semester.
