Serve Link Home Care has become a vital resource for families in Trenton and the surrounding area, offering compassionate care that allows loved ones to remain in the safety and familiarity of their own homes. Founded on the principles of dignity, support, and community, Serve Link’s dedicated team provides a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of each client that they serve.

Sara Rex, a staff member who has served with ServeLink for two years, shared her insights on what makes the organization so special.

“The best thing about working for Serve Link is that what we do benefits everyone involved: the client, the family, and the aide,” Rex said. “You get the joy of helping someone, knowing you have benefited them in so many ways, and you have a rewarding feeling of doing good for the community you live and work in.”

Serve Link’s well-trained aides provide Homemaker Tasks, Personal Care Tasks, and Respite Care, building strong bonds with clients and their families.

Typical homemaker and personal care duties include bathing, dietary assistance, cleaning, laundry, shopping, errands, and help with mobility and medication reminders. The aim is to help clients maintain independence and comfort in their daily lives.

“Our aides truly love what they do and become very attached to their clients.” Rex said. “We provide services for individuals and families so that loved ones can remain at home longer, with supervised assistance.” Serve Link also recognizes the importance of supporting primary caregivers, offering Respite Care so that caregivers can take needed breaks to attend to their own needs.

An example of an inspiring client success stories is that of Rosslyn Maloney. Rosslyn received nine weeks of service with Serve Link, seven of those being three times a week.

“Everyone I contacted has been wonderful – nurses, receptionists and the after-hours answering service” Maloney said. “Everyone was extremely competent, patient and caring. I bothered them during working hours and after hours and my calls were always answered, assuring me I was no problem because their jobs were to take care of me and get me well. That feeling gave me comfort 24/7 and, I’m sure, made healing easier and quicker.

My nurse was Lexie. She was very professional, caring and a joy to be around, making her coming to my house something I looked forward to. She was one of the best, most knowledgeable nurses I have ever been around. She had quite a job caring for me and was very patient. When I was healed and Lexie felt I was ready to be on my own, I felt confident I could manage by myself. When I had to have help after hours, Jenny and Linda were great nurses and caregivers.

In general, the Serve Link Team more than met all my needs. I definitely recommend this service because of the highly qualified and caring personnel. Serve Link is the best!”

Services are available Monday through Friday, approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For those who may not qualify for Medicaid, ServeLink offers a flexible Private Pay Option. Clients can choose the number of hours and days they need assistance, as well as which chores they’d like completed, with a minimum one-hour visit per scheduled aide shift.
