Melanie Baker, Student Accounts Specialist, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Employee for October. Melanie, an NCMC alum from Trenton, MO (hometown Chillicothe, MO), has worked at NCMC for two years and holds an Associate in Arts degree from NCMC.

Melanie describes her job as “fast-paced, challenging, and ever-changing.” When asked about her favorite thing about NCMC, Melanie said, “My favorite thing about NCMC is the camaraderie across all campuses and interaction with our students.” During her time at NCMC, Melanie has helped students reduce the amount they would owe out of pocket by suggesting various financial aid opportunities. Melanie would like to continue learning more about financial aid programs that can assist with student account processing. Melanie sees her department growing through advancements in technology and programs that reduce the more manual and demanding tasks.

When not at work, you can find Melissa spending time with her friends and family. Melissa also enjoys reading, boating, traveling, playing cards, and watching TV, especially true crime documentaries.
