Jaci Davis of Blythedale has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for March.

A Missouri A Scholarship student, Davis is pursuing an Associate in Applied Science in agriculture and natural resources, an agriculture business certificate, a crop production certificate and a livestock management certificate. She is scheduled to graduate in May.

After graduating from NCMC, Davis plans to work full time on her family farm while focusing on expanding her cattle herd.

At NCMC, Davis is involved in Ag Club and PAS. She is also involved in the Show-Me Value Added Agriculture Institute.

“My favorite thing about NCMC is the small-town feel. I love the small class sizes and how everyone knows everyone. It truly feels like home, and it’s a place where you find your people,” Davis said.

“I’m also very thankful for the supportive instructors who genuinely care about helping students succeed.”

Davis said she has enjoyed all of her classes, especially her agriculture courses.

“I chose NCMC because it was close to home, which allowed me to commute while still being involved on campus,” Davis said.

“It also has a great agriculture program. I really appreciate the small college atmosphere.”

Davis said NCMC has played an influential role in helping her reach her goals.

“In agriculture, relationships and networking mean everything, and I’m grateful for the opportunities and doors that NCMC has opened up for me,” Davis said.

Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning and hard work in academics and activities.
