NCMC Board Approves Personnel and Policy Changes

The North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees met in regular session on Feb. 24, 2026. During the meeting, the board received a series of communication reports and took action on several business, academic and personnel matters.

In the communication portion of the meeting, Taylor Ruoff, DMS instructor and clinical coordinator, introduced herself to the board. Tocarra Williams presented an overview and update on NCMC TRIO programs. Jenny Lewis from Head Start provided information on the recent federal review, the temporary closure of the Trenton center due to staffing challenges, a recent professional development day focused on safety and sanitation, and an upcoming PBS walkthrough. Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Londre highlighted the successful Health Science Days held at both the main and Savannah campuses, as well as the first PTK ceremony at the Savannah campus. Chief Information Officer Dalton Berry reported on ERP system progress, data center consolidation efforts and ongoing work at the Savannah Annex construction project. President Dr. Klaver shared updates on recent visits with legislators, participation in Great Northwest Days, pending legislation related to teacher education, state funding matters and upcoming institutional events.

During business items, the board approved the Head Start Child Selection Criteria and a renewal of existing Proofpoint email security services. Trustees also approved a revision to the emeriti policy, FY27 tuition and fees, CPR instructor cap pay and multiple adjustments to course fees.

In personnel matters, the board approved the employment of Chloe Weske as a teacher aide at the Chillicothe Head Start center and accepted the employment end of Unionville Head Start cook Barbara Craver. Faculty tenure was granted to Cydney Bestgen and Mallary Hann. Resignations were approved for Aaron Young, maintenance, and Robert Karr, industrial tech instructor. Trustees also accepted the retirement of longtime art instructor Jim Norris. Additional approvals included the hiring of Kimberly Pool as SSS academic advisor and Paige Martin as behavioral health learning specialist and practicum coordinator, along with a list of individuals selected for adjunct instruction. The board also approved a one-year contract extension for President Klaver, extending his contract through June 30, 2031.

The next meeting of the North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees is scheduled for March 24, 2026.
