Submitted
The Antique Study Club of Grundy County gathered Friday afternoon, Feb. 20, for its monthly meeting, with members enjoying fellowship, planning an upcoming outing and learning about a well-known name in American dinnerware.
Fifteen members attended the meeting, which was hosted by Tracy Utley at her home. The meeting began at 1:30 p.m. and included both club business and an educational program.
Ann Constant and Gayla Batson presented information regarding a potential club pilgrimage to Arrow Rock, Missouri. The trip is tentatively planned for April 17, 2026, and organizers expressed hope that at least 20 members will participate in the outing. Discussion included preliminary planning details and member interest in the historic destination.
Utley then presented the afternoon’s featured program, sharing an informative look at Russell Wright dinnerware.
The club’s next meeting is scheduled for March 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Bridgette Bunnell. Marjorie Witten will serve as co-hostess, and Laura Sue Daniels will present a program focusing on spoons.
Club members were encouraged to attend and continue participating in the group’s study of antiques and collectibles.
