February 21 is the start of National FFA Week, a time to recognize the impact of agricultural education and student leadership. In observance of the week, the Grundy Co. R-V FFA Chapter is highlighting its 2025–26 FFA President, Lexa Stronger, who is gaining hands-on experience through Supervised Agricultural Experience projects while developing leadership skills that will carry them into future careers.
Grundy Co. R-V FFA has been more than just an organization to me. It has been a place of growth, learning, and adventure. Through my experiences here, I’ve learned the value of hard work and dedication, understanding that success in agriculture and in life comes from persistence and effort. I’ve learned the importance of teamwork and collaboration, seeing how working with others toward a shared goal can create lasting results and stronger relationships.
FFA has also taught me responsibility and accountability, from managing projects to seeing tasks through from start to finish. I’ve learned to problem-solve and adapt, facing challenges in agriculture and chapter activities with creativity and resilience. Most importantly, FFA has taught me the value of community, giving me a supportive group of peers and mentors who encourage growth, inspire confidence, and help me strive to be my best.
Through these lessons, FFA has shaped me into a more capable, confident, and hardworking individual, skills and values I will carry with me well beyond high school.
