The Grand River Garden Club combined creativity and club business during its Feb. 16 meeting at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Members and guests painted rocks, made flowerpot “ladies,” and created framed pinecone flowers during the gathering.
Prior to the creative activities, the group conducted a brief business meeting. Treasurer Laura Ewing reported on three bills that required payment. Motions were made and seconded to approve the payments.
President Dorothy Taul asked members for suggestions for future community projects, potential trips and program ideas for the coming year. She also provided party favors for those in attendance. Roll call for the meeting asked members to name something that was free.
The club’s next meeting is scheduled for noon March 16 at the North Central Missouri College student union cafeteria.
Members attending were Linda Carman, Carolyn Rasmussen, Marilyn Booth, Karalyn Thompson, Kim Telkamp, Connie Metzgar, Bonnie Dittberner, Nancy George, Diana Hoppe, Laura Ewing, Nancy Donohue, Doris Provorse and Dorothy Taul. Guests attending were Theresa Steinhoff and Delores Kuttler.
