Members of the Trenton High School Class of 1967 gathered Friday the 13th for their monthly meeting, focusing on scholarship planning for the Class of 2026, finalizing details for their upcoming alumni weekend and sharing updates on classmates.
Twenty members attended the meeting, where the group confirmed plans to again support graduating seniors through the class scholarship program. For May 2026, the class will award three scholarships to Trenton High School seniors pursuing careers in education, nursing and technology-related fields.
Class representatives noted the scholarships are intended to encourage students entering high-demand professions while also continuing the class’s long-standing tradition of giving back to THS graduates.
In addition to scholarship planning, members discussed the THS Alumni Weekend scheduled for Sept. 5-7, 2026. As part of the celebration, the Class of 1967 will host a get-together at noon on Saturday, Sept. 6, at BTC Bank in Trenton. Classmates and guests are encouraged to attend the gathering to reconnect and celebrate shared memories.
The meeting also included time for fellowship and storytelling. Members enjoyed catching up, and married couples in attendance were invited to reflect on their relationships by sharing when they first met, how they knew they had found the right partner and how many years they have been married. The activity prompted laughter and warm memories among the group.
The Class of 1967 continues to meet regularly on the second Friday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at El Toro’s Restaurant in Trenton. Organizers noted that all classmates are welcome and encouraged to attend future meetings.
