Despite a sluggish first half, the North Central Missouri College women’s basketball team picked up an 81–66 victory over Central Methodist JV on Monday afternoon at the KCC. They used balanced scoring, strong rebounding, and defensive pressure to pull away in the second half in front of an enthusiastic Rissler Elementary crowd.

Honor Mannings led all scorers with a game-high 20 points on an efficient 9-of-16 shooting while adding seven rebounds and three assists. Tailer Morrison provided a strong interior presence with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Lexi Burns gave the Pirates a spark off the bench with eight points and four rebounds in just 10 minutes.

NCMC controlled the glass throughout the game, outrebounding CMU JV 58–46, including 27 offensive rebounds that led to numerous second-chance opportunities. Keylie Beane anchored the defensive effort with six steals and seven rebounds, helping the Pirates force 22 turnovers.

Addilyn Henke contributed 11 points, six rebounds, three assists, and four steals, while Laney Uchtman added 10 points and five rebounds off the bench. Sidney Aeschliman chipped in eight points, and Liz Oliver added five points and six rebounds as NCMC continued to find production across the lineup.

NCMC’s depth and rebounding advantage proved decisive as they improved their momentum heading into the next stretch of the season. Tuesday evening they will host University of St. Mary JV with a 5:30pm tip.
