Submitted
The North Central Missouri College women’s and men’s basketball teams were guest of the Trenton Rotary Club during its initial 2026 meeting on Thursday, Jan. 8 at the BTC Bank community room. Scott Sharp presided at the meeting, Dan Wilford gave the prayer and Chris Hoffman was the sergeant at arms. Joe MacDonald was the program chairman.
A question and answer session was held, with each member of the basketball teams introducing themselves, telling what their major is, who their mentor has been and why they chose to come to NCMC. James Porter II and Tailor Morrison gave a brief summary of the basketball season so far for the men’s and women’s teams respectively. It was noted that both teams had won 12 games, with the women’s team having won three games during a three-day tournament in Florida during the Christmas break.
During the business meeting, members were reminded to turn in their information to Doug Tye for the Operation Food Plate project. The club also voted to make a $500 donation to the Bright Futures Trenton program.
The program for the Jan. 15 Rotary meeting will be presented by Ashlen Busick. Joe MacDonald will be the program chairman.
