In celebration of its 100th anniversary, employees of North Central Missouri College came together to raise $10,000 in support of student scholarships, continuing NCMC’s long-standing commitment to education and community impact. Through this effort, NCMC awarded one hundred $100 student scholarships during its 100th year.

“As co-chair for the Centennial events committee, I’m truly humbled and overjoyed that we’ve raised $10,000 for student scholarships”, said Joni Oaks, Registrar, “This campaign reflects the incredible heart and generosity of our employees. Every contribution, big or small, helps open doors for students to chase their dreams, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.”

Employees were invited to contribute any amount, big or small, to help fund 100 student scholarships. Every dollar raised went directly to the students. To apply, students scanned a code and shared why they love NCMC. Winners were selected through a random drawing, and over 400 submissions were received.

From one of the submissions, Candence Crews said, “I love NCMC because of the supportive and welcoming environment, it feels like a place where students are truly set up to succeed. The instructors are approachable and genuinely care about our learning, which makes classes both engaging and meaningful. I also appreciate the hands-on opportunities and close-knit community that make me feel like more than just a number.”
