Recovery Reunion Set for Sept. 13 at Crowder State Park
TRENTON, Mo. — A special evening of hope, fellowship, and community will take place on Sat., Sept. 13, when the annual Recovery Reunion is held at Crowder State Park Shelter House. The event begins at 5 p.m. and is open to anyone who is in recovery or seeking a clean and sober lifestyle, as well as family, friends, and supporters.
The evening will feature powerful testimonies from guest speakers Dustin Ciboci, David Wilson, and Quentin Hogan, who will share their journeys of recovery and encouragement.
Activities kick off at 5:30 p.m. with a meal of hotdogs and soda provided for all attendees. Guests are encouraged to bring chips, a side dish, and lawn chairs to share in the community picnic.
From 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., testimonies of recovery will be shared inside the shelter, while children can enjoy a fun scavenger hunt outdoors with adult supervision. Kids are also welcome to remain inside for the speakers at parents’ discretion.
At 7:15 p.m., the floor will open for additional testimonies, giving attendees the chance to share their own stories, connect with others, or simply enjoy time with friends.
Organizers emphasize that the Recovery Reunion is about building connections, encouraging one another, and celebrating the strength found in recovery. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the event is free. For questions, contact Amy Cool at (816) 449-0677.
