Candidates Set For Grundy County’s Aug. 4 Primary Election

Grundy County voters will select party nominees for federal, state and county offices during Missouri’s primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Voters requesting a Democratic, Republican or Libertarian ballot will see candidates seeking their party’s nominations. A nonpartisan ballot also will be available for voters who want to vote only on the four statewide constitutional amendments.

State Auditor

Quentin Wilson and Gregory Upchurch are seeking the Democratic nomination for state auditor.

Scott Fitzpatrick and Gerald “Jerry” Wistrand Jr. are seeking the Republican nomination.

Dustin Coffell is uncontested for the Libertarian nomination and will automatically advance to the Nov. 3 general election.

U.S. Representative, 6th Congressional District

Josh Smead, Scot Pondelick and Matt Levine are seeking the Democratic nomination for U.S. representative in Missouri’s 6th Congressional District.

Jim Ingram, Chris Stigall, Nathan Hall Willett, Cody J. Oshel and Nathanael Schultz are seeking the Republican nomination.

Andy Maidment is uncontested for the Libertarian nomination and will automatically advance to the general election.

State Senator, 12th District

Judy McNeece is uncontested for the Democratic nomination for the 12th District seat in the Missouri Senate and will automatically advance to the general election.

Rusty Black is uncontested for the Republican nomination and will automatically advance to the general election.
