Lloyd DeSpain, a security officer at Wright Memorial Hospital, has been named the hospital’s Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2026.

DeSpain was honored during a ceremony at the hospital, where Wright Memorial Hospital Administrator Catherine Hamilton presented him with the award.

The Employee of the Quarter Award recognizes an employee who provides exemplary service, goes above and beyond to support colleagues, or assists and comforts patients and their families.

“Lloyd goes above and beyond in supporting patients and coworkers,” DeSpain’s coworkers said in his nomination. “He completes tasks efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner. Lloyd treats patients, visitors and coworkers with kindness and respect while promoting safety, teamwork and collaboration. He maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a supportive and professional work environment.”

In recognition of the award, DeSpain received an Employee of the Quarter certificate, the parking space of his choice for three months, his photo posted in the hospital and recognition in employee communications.
