Summer Orchestra, Choir Concert June 20
The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra will present its annual summer concert, “A Celebration of American Music,” at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 20, in the Trenton R-IX Performing Arts Center. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. following dress rehearsal.
“Our music selections on this last concert of our 17th season will help commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. This semiquincentennial will be celebrated July 4, marking 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence,” reads an event release. “Our GRVCO musicians represent the 17 Missouri communities of Cameron, Chillicothe, Gallatin, Galt, Jamesport, Kansas City, Laredo, Ludlow, Milan, Newtown, Pattonsburg, Princeton, Richmond, St Joseph, Trenton, Weatherby, and Winston.”
Raymond Linville is conductor of the GRV Orchestra. Tyler Busick is the GRV choral conductor. Sonja Wimer accompanies the choir.
