Pirates Top Northeast Iowa at Home

North Central Missouri College baseball picked up an 8-4 win over Northeast Iowa Community College at home on Wednesday behind a strong offensive performance and a solid outing on the mound from Luis Leon.
Leon earned the win after pitching five innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out three.
At the plate, the Pirates were led by Javier Suarez, who went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs to pace the offense. Koby Wagers also had a big day, finishing 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Gabriel DeFily added a home run and scored twice.
Jose Bedoya scored three runs and stole two bases, while Leonel Dominguez added an RBI. Max Heintz and Luis Rivas each recorded a hit.
Out of the bullpen, Ross Peters delivered two strong innings with three strikeouts, and Jonah Sparks recorded the final out to earn his first save of the season as the Pirates totaled 12 hits in the victory.
