Wright Memorial Hospital Continues Scholarship Program

Submitted

The Wright Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has announced the continuation of its scholarship program for area residents pursuing careers in health care.

Students who are already enrolled in or have been admitted to a degree program in a health care field are eligible to apply. The Wright Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 to encourage qualified individuals to pursue or advance careers in the health care field, and scholarships are awarded annually.

Each $1,000 scholarship requires recipients to share their grades and/or school status if requested by the Auxiliary. Students may apply for and receive the award each year throughout their degree program.

To be eligible, candidates must have been accepted into an accredited two- or four-year college or university health care program and must provide a copy of the program acceptance letter. Applications must also include biographical information, a short essay and two letters of recommendation.

The scholarship is open to applicants whose permanent address is in a ZIP code beginning with 646.

Applications must be postmarked or received by Wednesday, April 1.

Applications are available at saintlukeskc.org/wright-application. For more information, contact Denise Hamilton at 660-358-5723 or dhamilton@saintlukeskc.org
