Trenton Basketball Defeats Milan at Home

Tuesday the Trenton High School Boys basketball team played Milan at home. The bulldogs established control early and maintained it throughout, defeating Milan 71–8.
The Bulldogs opened the game with a strong first quarter, scoring 25 points while limiting Milan’s offensive opportunities. The early scoring margin set the pace for the remainder of the contest.
Trenton continued to build on its lead in the second quarter, adding 13 points to take a 38–7 advantage at halftime. Milan was able to convert a small number of scoring chances, but Trenton’s defensive pressure prevented any sustained momentum.
Following the break, Trenton remained productive offensively, scoring 26 points in the third quarter to further extend the margin. Milan was again held to minimal scoring during the period.
In the fourth quarter, Trenton added 7 points to close out the game. Milan scored a point in the final period, but the outcome had long been decided.
Trenton scored in all four quarters and steadily increased its lead, finishing with 71 points, while Milan was limited to eight points for the game.
Key players in the game were brothers Caleb and Issac Dixson who scored 13 and 15 points respectively in the night. Additionally Cayden Farmer and Elijah Miller put in work scoring 10 and 8 points.
