Holy Water Laundry, the locally owned laundromat operated by Danny and Lindsay Stevens and their mother Gloria Betz, officially celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday . The event celebrated a year of the business being open.
“We purchased the laundromat a year ago, and today is a celebration of how far we’ve come,” said Gloria Betz. “It’s like family up here. I love everyone that comes in.”
The family has spent the past year transforming the facility, investing in new equipment and a complete remodel. Their final purchase of dryers will arrive early next year, completing the update. Holy Water Laundry now offers improved services including same-day pickup and delivery and a dedicated wash-and-fold program.
“We offer free pickup and delivery within city limits,” Stevens said, “because we want to serve everyone in our community, especially those who need it most, like the elderly.”
The journey hasn’t been without challenges. The family had no experience in the Laundry Mat industry when they started so they have had to learn how operating this business works, to make the best experience for the customers possible.
And the family’s commitment to their customers has paid off. “One thing we’ve learned is our customers become like family,” said Lindsay Stevens. “We know their schedules, their birthdays—our customers have been great.”
Looking to the future, the family hopes to expand their drop-off and delivery services. “We want to grow that side of our business to help more people who can’t always get out,” Gloria said. “It’s a need, and that’s why we offer it free now.”
As they celebrate this milestone, the owners have one message for Trenton:
“We are incredibly grateful for the support over the last year. Our community and customers have been phenomenal, sticking with us through all the changes. We thank them tremendously.”
