NCMC Girls Win VS John Wood Community College

The North Central Missouri College women’s basketball team put together a solid road performance on Saturday afternoon, using efficient perimeter shooting, strong ball movement, and contributions from across the lineup to defeat John Wood Community College 77–61. The win improves the team’s record to 5-4 ahead of a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Next up will be a home tilt on Wednesday, December 3rd against Allen County CC. The Lady Pirates will be looking to avenge their road defeat to the Red Devils.
NCMC’s offense clicked early and often against John Wood, finishing with 11 made threes and 23 assists on 30 field goals.
Liz Oliver powered the Lady Pirates with a team-high 16 points and 10 rebounds, earning a double-double while controlling the paint on both ends. She added two assists and three steals in a standout all-around effort.
Peyton Johnson provided a major spark off the bench, knocking down five threes on her way to 15 points and four rebounds. Her perimeter shooting helped extend the NCMC’s lead in the second half.
The backcourt duo of Sidney Aeschliman and Honor Mannings combined for 18 points. Aeschliman hit three triples to finish with 9 points, adding three assists and a steal, while Mannings matched her with 9 points, five boards, three assists, and three steals.
Freshman guard Addilyn Henke continued her strong play off the bench, scoring 12 points with four assists and three rebounds.
Keylie Beane set the tone as a distributor, dishing out a team-high eight assists to go with three rebounds and a steal.
NCMC also received steady production from Lexi Burns (6 points), Delaney Richards (6 points), and Tailer Morrison (4 points), helping the Lady Pirates’ bench outscore John Wood’s reserves 39–6.
