The Republican Central Committee convened on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the residence of Mary Axtell, with 16 members and two guests in attendance. Chairman Ben Thomas called the meeting to order, followed by Dennis McDonald leading attendees in prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Secretary Mary Axtell presented the minutes from the September meeting, while Treasurer J.A. Keuhn reported a balance of $19,637.11 after recent event expenses. Both reports were unanimously approved.

Highlights included Marcy Meservey’s announcement that the committee received recognition for the best political float from the Rotary, and Mary Axtell’s update on the successful Missouri Day booth. Members discussed the need to secure a building for future meetings and events, with further exploration pending until a location is found.

A significant portion of the meeting focused on an upcoming public presentation featuring the Shield Maidens of Jefferson City, Stacy Shore and Lisa Pannett. The event will address rising assessments, higher utility bills, and the costs associated with maintaining Data Centers in Missouri.

Mary Axtell and Dennis McDonald shared insights from a similar presentation they attended in Livingston County. The public event is tentatively scheduled for December 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., contingent upon securing a suitable venue. Kenny Weaver, Ben Thomas, and Mary Axtell are tasked with finding a venue and advertising the event. The committee will provide drinks and finger foods for attendees.

Additionally, Becky McDonald reminded members that the vetting committee must draft a letter informing prospective Republican candidates about the required vetting process before filing.

The meeting adjourned following a motion by Kenny Weaver, seconded by Nathan Rorebeck.
