Hostetler’s Markets is rolling out the red carpet for the community with an Open House and Customer Appreciation event from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct, 18, to celebrate two years of being open. The festivities will coincide with Missouri Days, making it the perfect time for locals and visitors alike to stop by and experience what the store has to offer.

Store manager Maddison Wright, who has been with Hostetler’s since its opening, shared details of the event: “We’re going to have lots of free goodies, lots of discounts, and some giveaways. We’re even going to have some food trucks and vendors out in the parking lot.” Attendees can look forward to free cookies, donuts, coffee, and ice cream, as well as the chance to win prizes like gift cards, a home goods basket, and even an iPad. Additionally, every purchase will be accompanied by a spin on the store’s discount wheel.

Hostetler’s Market has undergone a dramatic transformation since its opening. Before the building was Hostetler’s market, it was the old Orscheln’s building.

“We remodeled the entire store,” Wright said. “Our main thing was having a clean, open store, lots of space, lots of lighting – things you don’t normally see in a discount store – while also having the fun of new items all the time.”

Maddison credits the store’s success to its loyal customers and the strong sense of community in Trenton. “Our customer base has grown a lot since we first opened,” she said. “There are honestly a lot of very regular customers that I talk to almost every single day. My favorite part is discovering the new things they’ve found since they’re here all the time. They see every single new item we put out.”

The Open House is Hostetler’s way of giving back. “These last two years, the community’s really, really shown up and shown out for us,” Wright reflected. “Honestly, that’s why we’re having this customer appreciation event – just to say thank you to all of our customers and try to give back a little bit for everything they’ve given us.”

Hostetler’s Markets is located in Trenton and will be open during regular business hours for the Open House. Whether you’re a long-time shopper or a first-time visitor, the event promises fun, food, and great deals.
