Vaccines Available at Health Department
The Grundy County Health Department currently has a variety of vaccines available to Grundy County residents, including the newest COVID-19 vaccine and this year’s flu vaccine.
According to a press release from the health department, COVID vaccines are available for 2025-26 for individuals 65 and older or age 18 to 64 with an underlying health condition. The Pfizer vaccine will be given.

The Grundy County Health Department would also like to remind residents that free at-home COVID-19 test kits are available, while supplies last, at the Health Department office, 1716 Lincoln Street in Trenton.
For 2025-2026 flu season, a flu vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months old, and older. The Grundy County Health Department has flu vaccine for all ages, including the high-dose vaccine, for people age 65 and up. The health department will offer adult flu shots on Fridays beginning on October 3; appointments are accepted but not required. Flu vaccination is also available by appointment on regular immunization days for children or adults.
Individuals should bring their Medicare, Medicaid, or health insurance card for billing purposes.
