It’s that time of year again, the weather’s changing, school is back in session, and football is starting up again, and with Football comes everyone’s favorite, Homecoming.

The first homecoming event will take place on September 17 at CF Russel Stadium with the Community Pep Rally at 7 p.m.

During the event, coaches from all different sports will speak to the community about what their teams are doing. A guest speaker, former Assistant Football Coach Jon Adwell, will encourage and inspire and the homecoming king and queen will be crowned.

On September 19, students will be released from class from 8:20 to 11:20 am to work on floats, banners, chalk, etc., based on the theme “No place like HOCO” referencing the Wizard of OZ. School will dismiss students at 12:15 pm, and the parking lot will open at 12:30 with the lineup for the parade starting at 12:45.

The parade will start at 1 p.m., with the parade kicking off from Trenton High School heading down Normal Street, then to 17th Street, Harris Avenue, Ninth Street, and then to C.F. Russel Stadium.

This year’s 2025 Homecoming Candidates are Seniors Olivia Tabbert, Mylee Baker, Kambrea Brown, Elijah Miller, Chase Foster, and Cooper Houser. The Juniors are Lillian Golden and Brady Miller. Sophomores Bella White and Gabe Makovec. And finally, Freshmen Kennedy Cross and Jace McCall.
