Crowder State Park in Trenton celebrated its fourth year of the annual Women in Nature event this past weekend.

Dozens of women took part in the outdoor fun Friday through Sunday, Oct. 2 to 4, that included camping, crafts, historical lessons, outdoor cooking and edible plants in nature lessons, camp fires, hiking, demonstrations, an astronomy program, trivia and more.

“It was a beautiful weekend for our fourth annual Women in Nature event. Thank you to all of our participants,” reads a social media post from state park officials. “Big thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers as well: Donna White, Susan Chris Proffitt, Dalene Young, Debi George, Sara Pollard Jacobs, Jane Cotton, Hannah Beck and Ashlee Olson.”
