Art’s Alive announced the winners of the Fine Arts Show, which was held in conjunction with the North Central Missouri Fair.

Exhibits were entered in adult and junior divisions across several artistic classes, with first-, second- and third-place awards presented. The show also included Best of Show and People’s Choice honors.

Daniel Shew received the Best of Show award for “Ready for War.” Mark Davis earned the People’s Choice award for his painting, “Winter in the Mountains,” which also placed first in the adult landscape painting class.

In the adult abstract painting class, John Hill earned first place for “Let Me Go.” Sheila Hammett placed second with “Colors & Vibrations Universal,” and Shanelle Spencer received third place for “Tear Drop from Heaven.”

Laney McCauslin won the junior abstract painting class with “Apollo II Trip to the Moon,” while Landon Gott placed second with “Illusion.”

Davis earned first place in adult landscape painting for “Winter in the Mountains.” Daniel Shew placed second with “50 Shades of Gray,” and Wanda Woodward received third place for “Peaceful Creek.”

In adult still-life painting, Shew won first place with “Keep Your Powder Dry.” Hill placed second with “Indominitus Mato,” and Emma Beach earned third place with “Comfort.”

Megan Miller swept the adult natural photography class, which did not allow Photoshop editing. She received first place for “Sunrise Over Lemon Bay,” second place for “Indian Rocks Beach Boardwalk” and third place for “I Love the Beach.”

Shew earned first place in the adult multimedia class with “Indian Horse Theme.” Alyssa Bunnell placed second with “Dynamic Sound” and Barbara Tunnell received third place for “250 Years — Flag.”

In junior pencil or charcoal drawing, Gott won first place with “Tornado,” while Regan McCauslin placed second with “Self Portrait.”

Elizabeth Eller received both awards in the adult colored-pencil drawing class. She earned first place for “Coffee Time” and second place for “Never Stop Dreaming.”

The Fine Arts Show building was open to the public during the final two days of the fair before exhibits were released to participants.
